TED 209x300 Now get TED talks straight on your iPhoneTED was founded by Richard Saul Wurman who propagated that information should be provided in a way that is easily understandable. TED (Technology Entertainment and Design) is a wonderful platform where people present their ideas in a simple yet innovative manner. Some of the famous speakers in the past conferences included Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Malcom Gladwell, etc. It’s not just about the famous names but also about other people in the industry who share the stage here and present their influential ideas to the world.

The TED conferences and talks are now available to you on your iPhone with the official app, TED. The app opens with the ‘Featured’ tab which has a collection of several popular and new videos. There’s another tab which we liked very much when we tested the app. The ‘Inspire me’ tab, which is presented by Rolex, has inspirational videos. This tab has an interesting design and interface which initially displays you a list of categories. Once you go into a category you’re interested in, a clock appears on the screen that asks you how much time you want to spend to watch a video. Once you select the time, a random video from the category is displayed to you that is approximately as long as the time you want to spend watching something.

This app has a bunch of TED videos which you can bookmark, add as favorites, and view them later. You can also tune into TED Talks audio through the radio feature. The app also has a rich archive of videos which you can access right from your phone!

All-in-all this application is totally worth a download.
