Gmail 200x300 Finally! The official Gmail app for iPhone is hereIf you use Gmail on your iPhone by configuring the email account, you may be finding it really hard to access the complete inbox. And why would anyone want to use the web version of Gmail on an iPhone? To answer these questions, Google finally released an official app for Gmail on iPhone.

If you didn’t know already, Google had released a faulty version of its Gmail app. Many users were not able to access the app and reported many bugs. Google then announced on Twitter that they have pulled out the app to fix it. What we have here now is an updated version. The salient features of this app are notifications. Even when you add your Gmail account to the mail app that iPhone has, the iPhone doesn’t provide you with push notifications for you emails; this app does.

Apart from notifications, the other features of this app are that it lets you search your entire inbox from your iPhone. With just a few gestures, you can refresh your inbox, swipe to view and apply labels, and the most basic gesture, slide for scrolling through the emails. On your iPad, you can have a split screen for this app and you’d be shown previews of emails on your right and the inbox on your left. This app has pretty simple and easy to understand user interface and settings.

Expect more upgrades and additional features in future from Google and download this app today to know instantly when a mail arrives in your inbox.
