According to a recent news report, Google is planning to make things worse for the websites who use Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Google is changing the algorithms for the search results yet again to give importance to websites which have good content. This is certainly bad news to people who rely on SEO for bringing traffic and building readership.

Wall Street Journal reported about this and said that Google is going for a makeover and is trying to fix some issues in its search service. WSJ also stated that Google would be displaying not just links in the search but would also show facts and answers to queries on their search page.

Search engine makeover and a change in the algorithm would only mean one thing – you would get better search results until the SEOs figure out a way to dupe Google again. These changes will take place in the upcoming weeks.

This news emerged from a panel discussion that was held at SXSW, where an engineer from Google – Matt Cutts – revealed the plans. Though this news has been reported by CNET, there’s no official statement from Google about this. To know more about this, read the complete story.
