The present is fast forwarding to the year 2054, the dystopian world of Minority Report where swarms of spider robots scan people for identity. For those who might try to fight them, there’s no escaping their razor-like claws. No point trying to run or hide either. A Virtual Nightmare! Hexbug Spider is the latest tech toy to hit the shelves and somehow it reminds you of this digital nightmare. But for now Hexbug Spider is about endless hours of fun for all gizmo kids or even techy adults.

Standing proud at its 3’ inch by 3.6’ inch frame this robotic creature’s claim to fame is its six anthropodal fixtures. This fully-remote controlled wonder has a 360-degree rotating head and can move in any direction. Thankfully, it has got a red marker on its head which shows the direction in which it’s moving. Despite its mean appearance, Hexbug Spider gets scared in case you clap and moves in the opposite direction immediately, to get itself out of danger. You will find it lurking around the dark corners of the house because that’s where it feels the safest. This cheeky crawling bug is only as big to comfortably fit in your palm and requires only five AG batteries for juice. Spidy is controlled from running amok by a dual band IR remote control which means that two spiders can be controlled by the same remote. It comes in five exciting colors – orange, blue, green, red and teal.

So till the time you get your private Optimus Prime, Hexbug Spider will keep you smiling. And what’s more you can have a whole swarm of them!
